Lot Description & Context
Acquired in November 1998 from a private townhouse kitchen in South Kensington. Structural deflection occurred during an intense minestrone preparation sequence involving highly dense legume compounds.
Curated under Count Reginald’s historic Utensil Preservation Trust, the piece stands as a seminal example of accidental mechanical leverage. In contrast to thermal warping, this specimen retains a pristine silver coat showing no heat-scar tissue on its face, making it a masterpiece of raw kinetic pressure.
Condition Report
"Excellent structural state. The silver plating remains 98% intact, showing minor oxidization on the rear face of the bowl. Spindle neck displays a uniform 12° deflection at the 8.2cm junction."
